Lori Wilde is more than an author. She’s become a mentor, teacher, and friend to countless new writers. She takes both her craft and her subject matter seriously — as you can see in this video — dealing with the problems of soldiers returning home from military service to the dilemmas of a runaway princess in the middle of horse cutting country (TX).
Lori’s newest book is All Out of Love! —->
Football star Pierce Hollister has fame, fortune, and beautiful women who’ll do anything for him…whether he asks them to or not. But when it all comes crashing down, Pierce finds himself back home, running the ranch in Cupid, Texas, wondering how it all went wrong. Click here for an excerpt from All Out of Love.
To celebrate being here, Lori is giving away 10 copies — that’s right TEN — of Love at First Sight, the first in her Cupid Texas series, to lucky readers who either leave a comment (CLICK HERE FOR COMMENTS) or subscribe to my blog (see the Can’t Stand the Suspense area on the right under categories and above Facebook). To whet your appetite here is the blurb from Love at First Sight:
In the first in a dazzling new series, Lori Wilde welcomes us to Cupid, Texas, where every wish for love comes true . . .
“When it hits, you just know . . .”
Natalie McCleary couldn’t believe her eyes—a lean-muscled, darkly tanned, nearly naked man stood in her path . . . and then it hit her: love. Everyone always told her it would hit like a thunderbolt, and she never believed them. But now she knew: practical, sensible Natalie was head over heels in love—with a stranger.
But ex-Navy SEAL Dade Vega wasn’t about to be a stranger for long. He’d ridden into Cupid on his motorcycle, vowing to keep a promise he’d made to a military buddy. But a single glimpse of Natalie—soaking wet and unexpectedly tempting—changed his life forever.
But how can he offer her his love, when he can’t even promise to stay in one place for longer than a week?

Lori’s characters are vibrant and her writing will make you laugh and cry at the same time. In other words, Lori is a master.
Please forgive the audio track. A glitch made us sound as if we’re in an echo chamber. Still, I think what Lori has to say is well worth listening to.
XO

What a fun interview. I never knew about horse cutting. Now I can’t wait to read the book!
It’s a great sport, Marsha. You will love the book.
My goodness, Lori, how do you write all those books? How many years did it take you?
She’s written more than 60, Larry. She’s a machine!
As a Dallas native, I love to see books about Texas! Where are you from originally, Lori? Thanks for a great interview, Diana.
I used to live in Dallas, too, Lynn. Say hi to Big Tex at the State Fair in October for me. He did get repaired from the fire I hope?
Great interview! And I absolutely love that cover! Makes a reader feel like he’s walking right to them. 🙂
Great interview! And I love the cover. It makes the reader feel like he’s walking right to them!! 🙂
Awesome interview! I love reading books and watching interviews which give insider info and this definitely qualifies! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks so much Bella!
I can’t wait to read this! I’ve been such a fan of Lori since I read her Wedding Veil series. Thanks for sharing the great interview!
I’m glad you love Lori, too, Ada!
Wonderful interview, I like the echo chamber sound 😛 Definitely looking forward to reading this book, I’ve read quite a few others and I’ve always loved them.
Ha ha, Anita, I guarantee it was purely accidental and terribly embarrassing. I always want these interviews to go off without a hitch, but it rarely happens. People walk in, strange people start playing the guitar next door, cameras stop recording for no reason, and sound tracks get wonky. I am so appreciative that authors like Lori are kind enough to let me interview them and such good sports about all the little hiccups along the way.
Thanks for your lovely comments!
nice interview this book is definitely one I have to read!
So glad you stopped by, Lorna! I know you’ll love it.
Looking forward to finding out more about the Books Lori writes. Sounds good.
I warn you, Marilyn, you’ll be addicted to Lori in no time.
Amazing interview! Congratulations to both of you on your nominations, and best wishes for continued success.. I loved the discussion of Texas and cowboys. The blurb and excerpt are powerful. Lori description of the ‘falling in love’ experience is great!
